The Row Residence: Progress On-Site

Work is well underway at The Row Residence, and it is rewarding to see this family home take shape.

Our team is now fully immersed in the delivery stage, working closely with our specialist consultants and contractors to ensure the architectural and interior vision is executed with absolute precision.

Construction is progressing at pace, with several key milestones now achieved:

Structural Progress:
Piling is 100% complete, and the rear retaining wall is now 100% finished.

Basement & Foundations:
Basement excavation is currently underway, alongside the foundation details for the new Garden Room.

Heritage & Craft:
We have successfully completed the façade retention, and works are now focused on the ground-level detailing of the existing façade, where we are carefully incorporating salvaged bricks to honour the home’s original character.

Seeing our designs move from the drawing board to the reality of the construction site remains one of the most rewarding aspects of our process.

Planning Permission Approved for Mayfair Restoration

We are excited to share that Westminster Council has granted planning permission for our project near Berkeley Square, in the heart of Mayfair.

Behind the Scenes: Capturing Bishops Penthouse

There’s always something special about returning to a completed project, seeing how the spaces have settled into everyday life and capturing the details that make each home unique. We recently returned to photograph one of our completed projects, the refurbishment of an existing penthouse apartment. Joined by photographer Max Trafford, our Design Director Michelle Sweeney revisited the home to document the finished design, with this behind the scenes video offering a glimpse into the photoshoot process.

Behind the Scenes: Capturing Blackbird House

Some projects come full circle and Blackbird House is one of them. KSR first designed the architecture for the home in 2011. Ten years later, when the property was purchased by its new owners, we were invited back to design the interiors. . It was a wonderful opportunity to reimagine the interiors for a new family while remaining true to the original architectural vision. The result is a home that feels both familiar and refreshed, thoughtfully tailored to its new owners.

As our projects near completion, the KSR team takes the opportunity to visit site and experience the spaces coming together. These visits offer a unique chance to step away from our desks and see the design come to life. Led by the project architects, the site tour gives the wider studio the opportunity to explore work across the practice and hear first-hand about the design decisions, challenges and key milestones that have shaped the journey.
