KSR’s interiors team attended Maison & Objet 2025 alongside clients of an ongoing project, to gain inspiration and source FF&E.
The day at Maison commenced with Michelle and Kainaz exploring the fair independently, mapping out a route through the exhibition to identify stands that align with both the clients’ style and the project concept.
Alongside our clients, they identified memorable pieces, for further discussion and potentially bring into the scheme.
Some notable selections, shown above, were pieces from Maeve and Historya Venice.
Maeve is a Portuguese brand who craft stunning artisan pieces ‘fuelled by a passion for the natural world’. Our clients were particularly drawn to the Palm and Folia collections.
Hand-crafted wall coverings also caught our designer’s eyes, particularly those by Historya Venice, an Italian family business who specialise in bespoke wall coverings using traditional techniques.
The Cactus console table by Ginger & Jagger was added to our designer’s list of FF&E favourites, with the use of natural organic shapes, enhanced by the gold finish, elevating this piece.
The collaboration between Glenn Sestig & Giobagnara stood out, the combination of strong architectural form with beautiful natural materials results in striking pieces sure to add contemporary chic to any space.
KSR Associate, Kainaz, tells us of her experience at the fair and clear trends that caught her attention:
‘I was captivated by the “Sur/Reality” theme. The show presented a fascinating blend of surrealist inspiration and contemporary design.
Surrealism was evident throughout, with unexpected juxtapositions and dreamlike elements. Organic shapes, natural materials like wood, stone, and clay, and biophilic design continued to be prominent.
Minimalism gave way to a resurgence of rich tones, vibrant prints, and maximalist aesthetics.
The show celebrated the successful integration of traditional craftsmanship and modern technology, showcasing the value of artisanal skills using raw materials, combined with contemporary processing and design techniques. Allowing for the creation of timeless, quality pieces to be admired for generations.
Maison & Objet 2025 served as an inspiring showcase of design innovation, reflecting the evolving needs and desires of today’s consumers.’
