Behind the Scenes: Capturing Bishops Penthouse

There’s always something special about returning to a completed project, seeing how the spaces have settled into everyday life and capturing the details that make each home unique.

We recently returned to photograph one of our completed projects, the refurbishment of an existing penthouse apartment. Joined by photographer Max Trafford, our Design Director Michelle Sweeney revisited the home to document the finished design, with this behind the scenes video offering a glimpse into the photoshoot process.

“One of the standout elements of this project was the opportunity to celebrate the existing character of the penthouse, from the original flooring and skirting details to the client’s beautiful collection of antique furniture and treasured pieces. We carefully introduced contemporary bespoke joinery and considered new design elements that complement these features, creating a considered balance between old and new. Behind the Scenes: Capturing Blackbird House

Some projects come full circle and Blackbird House is one of them. KSR first designed the architecture for the home in 2011. Ten years later, when the property was purchased by its new owners, we were invited back to design the interiors. . It was a wonderful opportunity to reimagine the interiors for a new family while remaining true to the original architectural vision. The result is a home that feels both familiar and refreshed, thoughtfully tailored to its new owners.

On-Site: North London Project

Work has officially commenced on site for our Grade II listed residence in North London, and it is exciting to see this project get underway.

AI in Practice

In 1951, Christopher Strachey, a pioneering computer scientist, developed the first successful Artificial Intelligence programme. It was designed to play checkers (draughts), and by the summer of 1952 could efficiently complete a game. Since this first inception, AI has been developed and implemented across almost all industries and is now a part of everyday life. It can be used to detect cancer, create art, predict climate change, or even control self-driving cars.
