Since 2000, Lord’s Cricket Ground has borne witness to 49 test matches, 10 visiting countries, and The Republic of Irelands cricketing debut. With the best view of every moment is, Pavilion Apartments, located immediately on St John’s Wood Road.

This year marks 25 years since the completion of Pavilion Apartments, a landmark project for KSR Architects and Interior Designers and an iconic part of the skyline view from the Cricket Ground.

The distinctive terracotta bricks and gently curving façade of the development adds to its character whilst its symmetry enhances its architectural presence. The carefully articulated frontage maximises the views of the action at Lord’s from every balcony and terrace.

Alternating vertical bands of orange and light concrete define the structure and its curvature. These are complimented by floor-to-ceiling windows and glazed balconies which give the building a contemporary look. The recessed atrium adds depth to the façade and creates visual interest whilst also signalling the entrance and enticing visitors inside.

The development is comprised of 122 apartments and an adjacent affordable housing scheme. The luxury apartments are bathed in natural light that streams through the floor-to-ceiling glass windows. These offer a panoramic view across St John’s Wood and into the cricket ground below. They were designed with warm and rich timber floors to contrast the elegant minimalist colour palette of the interiors.

Pavilion Apartments won the Evening Standard New Home Award for Best New UK Development in 2001 and set a benchmark for luxury apartments upon is completion in 2000. It retains a timeless elegance and remains one of St John’s Wood’s most popular developments.
