Bridging Architecture and AI: Elevating our BIM workflows at KSR

We’re thrilled to announce that Yordan has been promoted to BIM Manager & AI Lead, a role that recognises his commitment to pushing our digital workflows to the next level.

His most recent automation tool demonstrates the value of this new role: he has successfully designed an AI-driven workflow to help adhere to our BIM standards.
Integrating third-party furniture models into our projects is a core part of high-end design. To ensure these assets align perfectly with KSR’s rigorous internal templates and keep our models lightweight and consistent, we often need to refine these files upon arrival.

Historically, this required significant manual effort. Yordan saw an opportunity to optimise this workflow. Using Claude to “vibe code” a new internal tool – the KSR_Family Standardiser – he has completely automated the process of preparing these assets for our projects.
In one click, the tool ensures consistency across our digital library by:

• Optimising materials and line patterns, cleaning unnecessary elements.
• Creating, locking, and setting standardised thumbnail views.
• Ensuring essential data, like Room Calculation Points and OmniClass numbers, are populated.
• Logging every action for transparency.

Building on this momentum, Yordan has also been instrumental in rolling out Omni Chat across the practice. This tool serves as a dedicated AI assistant for our team, providing instant access to KSR’s collective knowledge base and documentation, ensuring that our project teams can find the information they need to work more efficiently and accurately.
Yordan’s insight on the KSR_Family Standardiser: “Internal tooling like this is one of the lowest risk, highest reward places to start working with AI. There’s no client exposure, no live project on the line, and the problem space is something you already understand deeply.”
By solving this, we haven’t just saved time – we’ve sharpened our instinct for where AI can genuinely add value to our design process.
Huge congratulations to Yordan on his new role!
